Antimicrobial Nanocoatings: Aligning Innovation, Regulatory Compliance and Market Uptake reflects the urgent need to move advanced materials from promising laboratory results to responsible, large-scale deployment. While scientific breakthroughs in smart, functional nanocoatings are accelerating, regulatory complexity, compliance costs and standardisation gaps remain major barriers to adoption. This workshop brings together leading EU-funded projects to consolidate scientific progress, address regulatory and safety challenges and outline a coordinated pathway toward sustainable and market-ready antimicrobial solutions in Europe.
