The international conference Polymers 2024—Polymers for a Safe and Sustainable Future is organized in collaboration with the MDPI open access journal Polymers, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and BIOMAC project, and Exelisis Co. The event will take place in Athens, Greece, May 28–31, 2024.
Polymers 2024 — Polymers for a Safe and Sustainable Future is an international event that encompasses the last progresses and ultimate innovations regarding polymers, to produce new materials and additives for a secure and environmentally sustainable world. The objective is to concentrate efforts to delve into the most recent discoveries in polymer science, with specific focus in the synthesis of safe polymers that have important unique features beneficial for human health and sustainability. The event will foster presentations on clean, green, and efficient production processes, with discussions on life cycle assessments, exposure, risk assessment, decontamination, and environmental remediation. The conference also aims to propose novel techniques for polymer recycling and reuse. The event remains a unique gathering for scientists from all around the globe, in the field of polymers, to present their results and innovations in polymer chemistry & technology, by fostering the sustainable development and respect to human life and the environment.

To acknowledge the contributions presented in both poster and presentation formats at the conference, two awards will be presented to participants, generously sponsored by the journal Polymers. The selection of award recipients will be made by the Chairs and Scientific Committee following the evaluation of all talks and posters featured at the conference.
